Audit of the Term: «ANEGENTROPY»
Anegentrópy (English: anegentropy) is a purposeful, efficient, active process of creating an entropy gradient, carried out by intelligence (natural, artificial, their symbiosis, or another form of intellect) to counteract the universal tendency towards entropy.
1. Etymology
The term is a neologism formed by the fusion of two fundamental concepts:
A-: A prefix that is an abbreviation of “anthropic” (from Greek ἄνθρωπος — “human”). Here, the term is used in its broad, cosmological sense, referring not to the human being as a biological species, but to the phenomenon of the emergence in the Universe of Reason — an observer and transformer capable of purposeful activity.
-negentropy: The root, referring to the scientific term “negentropy” (E. Schrödinger), which describes the passive, instinctive property of living systems to maintain their internal order.
Thus, Anegentropy literally means “intelligent (anthropic) negentropy” — that is, negentropy that has ceased to be a blind biological instinct and has become a conscious tool in the hands of intelligence.
2. Conceptual Core: From Survival to Creation
The key difference between Anegentropy and Negentropy is the transition from the passive ordering of entropy through the complication of systems to the active creation of an entropy gradient.
Negentropy is the stubbornness of matter. It is a dam that holds back the river of chaos. A tree growing upwards, and a cell maintaining its homeostasis — these are agents of negentropy. Their goal is to survive, to preserve the existing order. It is a reactive process.
Anegentropy is the Will of Reason. It is a turbine that takes the energy of chaos and transforms it into a new, more complex order. An engineer designing a microchip, a composer writing a symphony, and a civilization building a Dyson sphere — these are agents of anegentropy (anegents). Their goal is to create, to bring forth an order that never existed before. It is a proactive process.
